Mission Statement

The fundamental mission of the Nitro CVB is the promotion of the economic development of Nitro by increasing visits from tourist and business travelers, which generates overnight lodging for Nitro, visits to area restaurants, and shopping revenues.

The fundamental mission of the Nitro CVB is the promotion of the economic development of Nitro by increasing visits from tourist and business travelers, which generates overnight lodging for Nitro, visits to area restaurants, and shopping revenues.  The Convention and Visitors Bureau is directly responsible for marketing Nitro’s brand through travel and tourism “product awareness” to visitors.

Purpose

The purpose of the Corporation shall be to operate a Convention and Visitors Bureau for the City of Nitro West Virginia, so as to represent the common interest of Tourism to the City of Nitro and to encourage increased economic activity and development in order to further the general welfare and prosperity of the City of Nitro, West Virginia.
